Supplier price file email import
Review the first file from each supplier. Later routine price updates apply automatically. Changes greater than 10%, added or missing products, product codes, units, column mappings, errors and duplicates require review. Automatic imports have a summary and rollback.
Receive repeat supplier price files at the configured supplier import address after setting up the feed and reviewing the first file.
Before you start
Availability: Starter plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Where to find it: Integrations > Supplier price file email import.
Open Supplier price files, select an active supplier feed and configure its allowed sender addresses or domains. Confirm the mapping and tax treatment. Email intake also needs the inbound mail service configured; Starter or higher alone does not connect a supplier.
Step by step
- Open Price book, then Supplier price files and add the supplier.
- Upload the first file or configure allowed email senders. Confirm the columns and review the file.
- Read the result for each later update. Open Review file when an exception needs your approval.
- Use Roll back automatic update to restore prices. If an item changed afterwards, rollback stops without changing anything.
Worked example
An allowed supplier sends a CSV or XLSX attachment to the feed address. The file is queued and processed under the same first-file and exception-review policy as an uploaded file. A matching routine update may apply automatically; an exception remains for review.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Open the recorded import result. Check whether the file was rejected, queued, needs mapping, needs review or was imported, then inspect its summary. An email from an unlisted sender, an inactive feed or a message without a supported attachment must not be treated as an applied price update.
Limits and troubleshooting
Allowlisting a sender is not a guarantee that its prices or units are correct. Inbound delivery and processing must succeed before an import is available. Repeated email references are deduplicated. Automatic-update rollback refuses to overwrite later item changes. This workflow neither sends orders nor grants a paid supplier connection.
