Privacy Policy
Effective 4 June 2026. Last updated 4 June 2026.
AllQuote (ABN 58 655 983 737) (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates AllQuote. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”).
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Business profile: business name, trade, ABN, contact details, rates, markup, and logo that you choose to enter.
- Quote and client information: job notes, client names and contact details, line items, and quotes you create. Where you enter details about your clients, you are responsible for having the right to do so.
- Billing information: subscription status and a customer identifier from our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers — card details are handled directly by our payment processor.
- Usage and technical data: log data, device/browser information, and feature usage (including via Google Analytics), used to operate, secure, and improve the Service. See section 9.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; generate and store your quotes; authenticate you and secure accounts; process billing; send service, verification, password-reset, and account communications; provide support; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
We also produce de-identified, aggregated insights from pricing data (such as average labour rates and common material prices by trade) to improve quote suggestions and provide benchmarks. Aggregated benchmarks are shown only where enough separate businesses have contributed that no individual business's prices can be identified.
3. AI processing
To generate quotes, the job notes you submit may be sent to a third-party AI provider for processing. We send only what is needed to produce the quote. Do not enter information you do not wish to be processed in this way.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We disclose personal information to service providers who help us operate the Service, including: payment processing, AI processing, email delivery, and hosting and infrastructure. We require these providers to protect the information and use it only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the APPs.
6. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure (including encrypted transport and hashed passwords). No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Retention
We retain personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account (it asks you to confirm and to verify by email), or by contacting us — subject to records we are required to keep.
8. Access and correction
You may access and correct much of your information directly in the app. You may also ask us to access or correct your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use a session cookie that is strictly necessary to keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which features are popular and where errors occur); this sets analytics cookies/identifiers and may involve Google processing limited usage and device data on our behalf. We use this for product analytics only — we do not use advertising or social-media tracking pixels, and we do not sell your data or use it to target ads. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting your use of the Service.
10. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us at [email protected]. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you.
