Overdue invoice reminders
Emails a customer when an invoice is coming due or overdue. Sending a reminder does not connect Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.
Review and follow up an invoice that is coming due or overdue.
Before you start
Availability: Starter plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Documented roles: Owner. A role name alone does not override the permissions set by your business.
Where to find it: Money & Invoicing > Overdue invoice reminders.
Open Aged receivables, check the invoice balance, due date and customer email, and confirm the account email. Pause reminders while a payment or dispute is being reconciled.
Step by step
- Open Aged receivables at /accounts/receivable.
- Send a reminder on an open invoice, or pause reminders for that invoice.
- The nightly run sends the next unsent stage for invoices that are due.
- Confirm the account email before a reminder can leave.
Worked example
Find an unpaid invoice and review its reminder status. Send an appropriate reminder or pause further reminders for that invoice.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Check the recorded reminder outcome and the outstanding balance. Confirm payments separately before deciding whether another reminder is needed.
Limits and troubleshooting
Reminder access starts at Starter and does not establish an accounting-provider connection. Sending a reminder does not mark an invoice paid or change its agreed terms.
