Booking suggestions in chats
When a team or customer message names a day or time, the chat offers to book it: a prefilled booking with the job, the people, the time and a clash check. Nothing books until you confirm.
Use a chat suggestion to turn an agreed day or time into a booking, or ask the office to book you in.
Before you start
Availability: Team plan and above. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Where to find it: Customers & Bookings > Booking suggestions in chats.
Check the job, date, start and finish times, and selected people in the booking popup. Review any clashes before confirming.
Step by step
- Open a conversation at /chats.
- When a message names a day or time, a small suggestion appears above the text box.
- Tap Book (or Request to book me in) to open the booking, change anything, then confirm.
- Dismiss a suggestion you do not need, or turn suggestions off for yourself in Settings.
Worked example
A customer asks for a visit on Tuesday morning. Open the suggestion, choose the correct job and people, adjust the time, then confirm the booking or send a request to the office.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Check the confirmed booking in the calendar. A request still needs office approval; a suggestion alone does not reserve anyone's time.
Limits and troubleshooting
Suggestions can misread a message, so every field stays editable and nothing books automatically. Booking permissions still apply. Dismiss an unwanted suggestion or switch suggestions off in Settings.
